Show lightful visit with their son, Dr. Ray Alleman, and family, at Norwich, Nor-wich, Conn. They also visited Boston Bos-ton and Cambridge, Mass., Hartford, Hart-ford, Conn., and other points of interest in-terest and were gone one month. Dr. Ray Alleman is now employed by Columbia university of N. Y. doing research work, with headquarters head-quarters at Fort Trumbell, New London, Conn. Miss Jessie Duncan and Miss Edna Ed-na Sullivan, Salt Lake City teachers, teach-ers, were guests of Mrs. Beulah Whiting and her daughter Saturday. Satur-day. The girls were in company with Mrs. Whiting and her daughter daugh-ter on their European trip. Helen Tew of Salt Lake City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Tew of Mapleton, spent three days of the week with her parents and other relatives and friends. VISITORS Here and There Mrs. Maude H. Benedict of Og-don Og-don visited the past week with relatives and friends in Springvllle and Provo. She came to see her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Theodore Graehil of Provo, before she joined her husband at San Diego, Calif. She also spent some time with her mother, Mrs. T. T. Hatch, in this city. Milan Metcalf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Metcalf, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Richetts, who accompanied accom-panied him from Burbank, Calif., have returned to their home following fol-lowing a ten-day visit here. Complimenting Com-plimenting the group, Mr. and Mrs. Metcalf gave a family dinner just before their leaving. Mr. and Mrs. John I. Holley had as guests recently, W. J. Craig and Cleon Craig of Castle Gate. Rex Candland, who has been employed at the City Drug the past several months, has accepted a position as manager with the Kelly Drug company at Price, and, accompanied by Mrs. Candland, left for Carbon county Tuesday. . Charles Sanford has returned from a two months' trip through the northwest. He left Springville September If going to Seattle by way of Idaho Falls, Butte, Grand Coulee dam and Spokane. After visiting relatives in Seattle, he accompanied ac-companied his daughter, Mrs. Paul Holley, and husband on a trip to many points of interest in the northwest, returning home last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown and baby son, Robert, of Kanosh, visited vis-ited friends and relatives here over the week-end. Douglas Brown and Earl Coff-man, Coff-man, who have spent the past 15 days on furlough from Camp San Luis Obispo, returned to army life Monday. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mendenhall and grandson, Robert, spent the first few days of the deer hunt at Cove Fort. They report hunting exceptionally good. The party of hunters from Springville included G. W. Mendenhall, Robert, Cornell, Cor-nell, and Bern Mendenhall, Bliss Hoover and 'Jay Madsen. All got their deer. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman have returned home from a de- |
