Show Government Men End Four Year's Work In Springville Of particular Interest to Springville this week is a rather ra-ther unusual occurrence, in that C F. Horton, representing the National Bureau of Standards, and Lyman Willardson, of the State Department of Standards, have just completed over four year's work in all of the forty-eight forty-eight states,' completing their work in this city. They worked with a 20-ton truck, and checked scales for the United States government. They have checked most of the scales in all the cities of the various states, and it has taken four years to accomplish the task. It is rather a coincidence that Springville should Ae the final city worked in all of that time and all of that territory. They have worked for the past two months in Utah. Mr. Horton said upon being interviewed that he was glad the work was finished and that now he would leave immediately immediate-ly for Washington, D. C., to report re-port his findings. |
