Show AVERETT YARD TO ENTER PR0V0 TOURNEY Averett Yard softball team, representing Springville, will be among the 16 teams entered in the Utah county softball tournament to be played at Provo beginning Monday, August 18. The tournament, divided into a class A and B joust, will begin Monday, with the class A meet playing first round games Monday and Thursday and the class B on Tuesday and Friday. Two games will be played each night, with a charge being made for fans for the class A games, with the class B games being offered free. Both tournaments will be conducted con-ducted on a single elimination basis. Semifinals for class A will be played August 25; for class B, August 26, and finals for both on August 27. Boot's Bar of Pay-son Pay-son vs. 20-30 Club of Provo. In a game played at Spanish Fork against the Provo Sixth in the Spanish Fork open Softball tourney, Averett Yard of Springville Spring-ville dropped their contest 4 to 2 in an interesting game. Provo Sxith made two errors to Spring-ville's Spring-ville's threej as well as banging out 8 hits to the locals' 7. |
