Show HIGHWAY PATROL MAKES REPORT R. Whitney Groo, superintendent superinten-dent of the State Highway patrol, ; has submitted to the state road commission the report of the June activities of its patrol. The report shows a total of 1,253 arrests during dur-ing the month, and 3S2 warning tickets given for various offenses. Failure to have automobiles inspected in-spected led all other offenses, with 4 52 arrests for this violation. Speeding came second with -2 9 4 arrests, while 159 tickets were issued is-sued for running through stop signs. Total fines collected during dur-ing the month for all offenses were ?7,415.35. while additional fines of $1,281.00 were suspended. sus-pended. Salt Lake county headed the list for the number of arrests with a total of 321, followed by Utah county with 126, and Davis county coun-ty with 12 5. Three counties, Daggett, Dag-gett, Rich, and Wayne, showed no arrests and no warning tickets. There were 24 arrests for drunk driving and the same number for reckless driving. |
