Show FACTORY SETS ENVIABLE SAFETY MARK Employees of the Pacific States Pipe plant have a record of 300 days without a disabling injury and hold high hopes for leading this division in the National Safety Safe-ty council this year. The last injury was on September Septem-ber 6, 1939. With an average ot 325 men working this represents 97,500 man days or 778,00 man hours without injury up to July 2. Last year 29 injuries occurred. To encourage a continuation of the safety record, the company has promised the men a dinner and entertainment if they go a full year without injury. All men will be given an opportunity to participate par-ticipate for prize awards of $100, $50, and $25. George Shaw, who recently returned re-turned from a meet of time study enginering at the University of Iowa at Iowa City, said this record rec-ord compares favorably with other plants in the country. |
