Show Former Resident Dies in Provo Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon of last week in Provo for Leon M. Weight, 60, a native and well-known former resident of Springville, who died Tuesday of a cerebral hemorrhage at the Utah Valley hospital. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen cemetery. Born in Springville, August 30, 1894, he was a son of James and Annabelle Johnson Weight. He received re-ceived his education in Springville Spring-ville schools and married Ferrol Roylance of Springville June 10, 1914, in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Idaho for a time and he followed farming. farm-ing. Later they moved to Salt Lake City and he worked for an oil company. He was transferred to Provo &s agent for the company com-pany in 1923 and had lived there since. He was employed by the Utah Railroad company 16 years and for the past 11 years had been an electrical repairman for Provo Power Company. He was an elder in the LDS church at the time of his death. Survivors besides his wife are two sons, two daughters, J. Keith Weight of Springville; Ted L. Weight, Provo; Mrs. Heber Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Oather R. Proper, Provo; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Roy-den Roy-den Weight, Burton A. Weight and a sister, Mrs. Levi (Delia.. Phillips all of Salt Lake City. |
