To adil a decorative sparkle to your next company meal, serve a beau-lilu beau-lilu ly arranged fruit salad for dessert. The salad shown in the picture combines a mound of dark sweet and light sweet cherries with pear halves, filled with creamy cranberry dressing. There are many other colorful, fluvorsome canned fruits from which to choose. Serve color-contrasting half-moon sandwiches of canned fruit-nuf and chocolate breads as the accompaniment. Good fillings are crean cheese and cinnamon butter. Glamour Dessert Salad 1 can (8 oz.) whole 1 can (1 lb. 14 oz.) pear halves cranberry sauce lean (16 oz.) light sweet cup mayonnaise cherries ,Va cup whipping cream 1 can (16 oz.) dark sweet 1 tablespoon sugar cherries Salad Greens Break cranberry sauce into pieces with a fork. Add mayonnaise, whipped cream and sugar. Arrange chilled drained pear halves and themes on salad greens. Fill center of pears with the cranberry mixture. mix-ture. Six to eight servings. |
