Show Geo. Dewey Clyde, Candidate for Gov. Wifi Address Kiwanis Club Tonight George Dewey Clyde, Republican nominee for governor of the state of Utah on the Republican ticket, will be the featured speaker at the Springville iiiwams ciuo meeting tnis evening, announces President Sterling E. Price. Mr. Clyde will discuss the state's natural resources and conservation program. Wilford W. Clyde, brother broth-er of the candidate, will be toast-master toast-master for the evening. In view of the busy schedule which the candidate for governor has the next few weeks, the club feels fortunate fort-unate in securing him for the meeting this week, officers state. Farm-City Program The Kiwanis club also announces plans for observance along with other clubs of the county of Farm-City Farm-City week November 16 to 22. All business men and organizations are asked to cooperate in the observance ob-servance designed to create a better bet-ter relationship between the farmer far-mer and people who live in the city. Sterling E. Price, president of Kiwanis said the steel plant is aiding in the program giving a special invitation to farmers and the public to visit the stel plant on Friday, Monday or Tuesday. Reservations for the trip should be made with a Kiwanian before the specified dates. Excursions are also planned in some parts of the county to take the city folks to the farms to see how they operate, Mr. Price said. In charge of plans for observance obser-vance of the week in Springville are Taylor Reynolds, chairman and R. A. Huntington, co-chairman. |
