Springville Art Queens leign Through Exhibit fJ Providing a stimulant each year for the Raising of funds with which to carry on the art RA"project, is the selection by each class of a queen and the girl whose class succeeds suc-ceeds in raising the largest amount of funds by the close of the April show, unveils the purchase pur-chase picture. In this rush to raise their queen to the honor position, dances, shows, candy, pop-corn and cake sales are sponsored together to-gether with every other conceivable con-ceivable means of getting a few dollars. This year, true to tradition, the queens are true representatives representa-tives of their classes, popular and good-to-look-at individuals who maintain a high average in their classes. . As the queen money-making activities progress, visitors continue con-tinue to come to see the pictures pic-tures in this year's show and patrons wonder which picture will be chosen to become a part of the permanent collection from this year's entries. Every evening, someone is present at the gallery to give a lecture on the canvasses, all free of charge. The gallery is open until 9 p.m. Several major gatherings have been planed for the month at the Art Gallery and reservations reserva-tions are still being made by group and individuals for special spec-ial scheduled tours. |
