Mrs. Booth Sorenson acted as hostesses during the evening and Mrs. Alton Packard, Mrs. Howard Maycock and Mrs. Cliff Knight were in charge of the gifts. Presiding over the serving was Mrs. Ralph E. Packard assisted by Gloria Mae linger. Vera Ann TJnger, Joy Fullmer and Mrs. Grover Harding. - Music during the evening was furnished by Mrs. Brian Packard, Mrs. David Packard and Jane Packard who gave a vocal trio, accompanied by Mrs. Max Sumsion, Mrs. Ralph Olsen and Leland Pridy of Provo gave a violin duet, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Pridy. There were also several numbers num-bers sung by the missionary Sweethearts of the B. Y. U. with which the bride was affiliated. affi-liated. Following the reception, the beautiful 3 - tiered wedding cake was cut and served by the newlyweds to close relatives rela-tives and members of the wedding wed-ding party. The bride, a former student of the B. Y. U., did missionary work in Finland, while Calvin also served on a mission. He is a former student of the "Y" where he was affiliated with the Gold Brickers. He also served one year in the Navy. She is the daughter of Mr. 4 and Mrs. Henry A. Matis of Chicago, 111. and he is a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Packard of this city. In honor of the newlyweds, a reception was given last Monday evening at the home of the bridegroom's parents, by an aunt of the bride, Mrs. Annabelle TJnger, acting in place of the bride's parents, who are presiding over the LDS mission in Finland. The couple received the many guests before an embankment em-bankment of bronze and yellow yel-low chrysanthemums lighted by tall yellow tapers. The bride added to the charming picture in her traditional white satin wedding gown with tight fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves. Her finger-tip veil was arranged to a tierra of seed pearls and she carried a beautiful bouquet of roses centered with an orchid and from which fell a shower of white satin ribbon. Attending the bride were Miss Pat Unger and Miss Glida Ann Packard. They wore pastel colored formals and held colonial bouquets in matching colors. Billie Matis, brother of the bride, was best man. Receiving guests also were Mr. and Mrs. Packard and Mrs. Unger. Mrs. Packard chose a blue gown for the re- ception and Mrs. TJnger, pink. Their corsages were in matching match-ing colors.
