Show Showers Given To Honor Recent Bride Nicely arranged in every detail de-tail was the miscellaneous shower show-er given last Thursday evening at the stake house by Mrs. Ellis Bird and a daughter, Mrs. Louise Peirce to honor their daughter and sister, Mrs. Larry Taylor, the former Car-ma Car-ma Gene Bird, who was wed recently. re-cently. An entertaining 'program featured fea-tured Robert Peirce in a vocal solo, also Miss Ann Merie Fry gave a vocal selection and Robert Rob-ert and Ann Merie rendered a vocal duet. A toast to the bride was given by Miss Mary Catherine Wills. Miss Helen Ash entertained with a reading and Barbara Taylor gave a dance number. Two piano selections were rendered by Norman Nor-man Dunn and a quartet from the ' junior high school gave selections. Dan Bartholomew was accompan-' accompan-' ist for the vocal numbers. Climaxing the entertainment, lunch was served to approximately approximate-ly sixty relatives and friends. Later La-ter the bride opened her many beautiful and useful gifts. The preceding Thursday evening, even-ing, members of the club to which the bride belongs, were entertained entertain-ed at a party honoring the new Mrs. Taylor at the home of Mrs. Catherine Wills. The evening was spent visiting and sewing and a dainty luncheon was served. The group presented the honored guest with a number of lovely gifts. |
