Show Grocers Plan To Support GUV, Inc. In Market Program Representatives of Utah County Grocers voted unanimously to support sup-port the Greater Utah Valley, Inc., program of Greater Utah Valley products week. The grocers represented rep-resented by officers of the Provo Retail Grocers Assn., and other food merchants from the valley, expressed the opinion that this movement was one which had long been needed and they felt a liason between the grocer and producer was needed and that the market for Utah Valley products -could be improved materially if a policy of consistent grading was. established.. estab-lished.. It was felt that this was but a beginning of a long-term program in improving the market for Utah products, and thus increasing the income to producers in the valley which in turn would accru to the benefit of all. LeGrande Jarman, chairman of the Agricultural committee of Greater Utah Valley, Inc., presented presen-ted the plan to the grocers. Progress reports were also made by President Sterling E. Price with respect to a valley-wide radio program, pro-gram, and by Dale Despain, regarding re-garding activities relative to the Central Utah Project and reclamation, recla-mation, and Leo Hansen, chairman chair-man of the committee on new plants and industry reported that the pamphlet encouraging industry to locate in Utah Valley was off the press and ready for distribution. distribu-tion.
