Show Speeding Heads Feb. List of Traffic Offenses With a total of 30 speeding cases handled in the city court in February, it is evident that the new radar controlled method of detecting speeders, is working within the city limits as well as outside, police officers reported this week. A number of these cases were apprehended by the new method, officers stated., and they are of the opinion that this means will slow down fast drivers. In addition to speed cases handled hand-led in the city court, a crack-down on defective mufflers was evident with 15 apprehended for this offense. of-fense. Other cases in fewer numbers num-bers were listed as follows: Running a red light, one; public intoxication, 4; no driver's license, 4; drunk driving, 3; excessive noise,' 5; driving too fast for existing exist-ing conditions, 1; reckless driving, 1; entering the gymnasium illegally, illeg-ally, 1; failure to stop for stop sign, 3; illegal parking, 4; failure to control car, 5; parking by fire hydrant, 1; sled in rear of car, 1; no license on person, 1; no light on car, 1; disturbing the peace, 1; illegal possession of beer, two. |
