Pennock, nee Miss Fay Sheffield Reception Honors the R. E. Pennocks Now Making their Home in Provo Before an arch of green banked with flowers, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Pennock received their friends at a wedding; reception in the Sarin eville ! Stake House Friday evening. The j marriage was performed the same I day in the Salt Lake Temple, with ' President EIRay Christiansen officiating. of-ficiating. The bride, formerly Miss Fay Sheffield, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin L. Sheffield of Springville, Spring-ville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Pennock Pen-nock of Twin Falls, Idaho. For her reception, the bride was beautiful in a wedding gown of white satin which she designed herself. The bodice pointed in ' front, was shaped with cut-outs of imported lace outlined with seed pearls, while the sweetheart neckline neck-line was brought high in front with folds of pleated nylon tulle. The floor length skirt with chapel train had panels of the lace and pearts down both sides of the front, and the long satin sleeves were trimmed the same way at the wrists. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion fell from a close-fitting cap of pearls and she carried a bouquet of feathered carnations centered with a large orchid. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Nan Sheffield, who wore red velvet, and the six bridesmaids had white dresses of similar design trimmed in red. The bridesmaids were: Miss Nanette Hyde, Misses Mionne and Julie Pennock, sisters of the groom, Miss Afton Tingey, Mrs. Carma Rasmussen and Miss Jo-Anne Jo-Anne Sheffield. Laurie Sheffield was flower girl and also wore red velvet. They all carried nosegays of red and white carnations. Performing the duties of best man for the groom was his brother, bro-ther, William M. Pennock. The mothers of the young couple had orchid corsages. Mrs. Pennock wore an afternoon dress of navy faille, while Mrs. Sheffield chose a slate blue silk dress. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Tingey and Wayne Haws. At the guest book were Miss Charmian Long, Miss Conda Weight and Miss Leah Mae Averett. In charge of gifts were Mrs. Dennis Robertson, Mrs. J. M. Hunter, Mrs. William Pratt and Mrs. Wayne Haws. Mrs. D. Spencer Spen-cer Grow was in charge of serving, serv-ing, assisted by Miss Ilene Hunter, Hun-ter, Joyce Sheffield, Kay Sheffield, Shef-field, Anne Sheffield, Karen Grow, Mary Kay Grow and Barbara Sheffield. Program numbers were presented present-ed while guests were being received. re-ceived. Bishop William Pratt sang vocal numbers accompanied by Mrs. Annie Forshee. A trombone solo was played by John Hanson, Miss Nadine Waters played a piano pi-ano solo and Miss Mary Kay Grow gave a Xylophone solo accompanied ac-companied by her mother, Mrs. Stewart L. Grow. Organ music by Mrs. Annie Forshee formed a fitting fit-ting background during the remainder re-mainder of the time. The young couple left immediately immedi-ately after the ceremony for a honeymoon in southern Utah and Las Vegas, and will be at home in Provo, where the groom is attending at-tending Brigham Young University. |
