Show Dr. S. Eugene Dalton of Atlantic Atlan-tic City, N.J., is visiting relatives and friends in Springville, the house guest of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton. Dr. Dalton, a prominent physician and specialist, is enroute to his home following an international inter-national tour with a group of 20 specialists to South America. Dr. Dalton was a featured speaker at Rio de Janiero. Few5 looted... Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Beardall had as their New Year's guests, a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Jones and baby (Jeannette Beardall) of Glendale, Calif., who arrived that day. On Sunday, complimentary to the visitors, vis-itors, a family party was held at the Beardall home. Mr. and Mrs. George D. Clyde and daughter Mary Ann of Logan were Springville visitors Sunday . at the home of Mrs. Clyde's mother, moth-er, Mrs. C. F. Packard. Mrs. Packard Pack-ard also had as her guest Sunday, her granddaughter, Miss Marion Gottfredson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gottfredson of Logan, Lo-gan, who is teaching school at the Murray high school. . Mrs. Grace Loveridge returned recently from California where she spent the past month. She visited friends in Southern California and spent some time with a daughter . and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Francis and family at Los Altos and visited also with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Loveridge in Los Gotos. Her son-in-law, Reed Francis accompanied ac-companied her home and spent a few days on business and visited his mother, Mrs. Barbara Francis and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. L. Velt Hancock have returned from an enjoyable trip to Boulder City, Nev., where they visited their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Whiting over the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Madsen re- turned Monday -evening from a most enjoyable trip to California. They visited Jay's brother Clark Madsen and wife at San Mateo, Calif., and with them spent the New Year holiday and toured San Francisco. From San Francisco, they traveled down the coast to Long Beach and returned by way of the southern route visiting friends in St. George. While in California, Jay and Clark attended attend-ed the Stanford-Oregon game at the Cow Palace and' the two couples cou-ples also spent some time at Car-mel-by-the-Sea. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover were in Salt Lake City Monday to attend the inauguration of Governor Gover-nor J. Bracken Lee and later a reception in the Gold Room of the State Capitol. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen of Mapleton and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Arth-ur C. Boyer of this city were among the 1,500,000 spectators to view the Rose Parade, New Year's Day at Pasadena. They also enjoyed en-joyed visiting in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Tijuana, Mexico. Enroute to and from the Pacific Coast Mr: and Mrs. Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Boyer visited with ; relatives and friends at Boulder : City, Nev. An enjoyable tour of Hoover Dam was also made. They returned via way of southern Utah parks, Zion's and Bryce Canyons and over Mt. Carmel highway. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Gogarty returned re-turned recently from New York City, where they went to consult a specialist at the Columbia University Uni-versity Hospital regarding Mr. Gogarty's health. They made the trip by plane and were gone two weeks. |
