They work mostly at night and are therefor seldom seen but property owners are urged to take no chances on being be-ing present and use the bait to make sure. Springville and Mapleton will cooperate with the county and state in a rat ' eradication campaign cam-paign planned for December 1 to 6. Bait may be secured during this time at reduced rates at the Utah Poultry plant and at the Springville Spring-ville Feed Co. in Springville and Harmer's Grocery in Mapleton. Cost will be two pounds for 70c. The bait will consist of warfarin mixed with corn meal and oats and will prove effective in rat infested in-fested areas, according to Agriculture Agricul-ture Agent S. R. Boswell. Mr. Boswell said also that all garbage dumps would be sprayed with the deadly 1080 bait which is a quick killer and a warning is given to keep dogs and other animals from the areas. The campaign is being sponsored sponsor-ed by the Utah Extension Service the City-County Health Department Depart-ment and the state and county departments of Agriculture and the Utah Fish and Game Department.
