Devils Win, I.os . . . During the week the Red Devils won one game and lost one. At I'rovo, the club played the Bulldogs Bull-dogs on fairly even terms but lost 5:s-61 in a well-played battle. Klauck, Francis and Haymond scored 9, 13, and 11 points respectively re-spectively for the Devils with every one of the squad getting in on the score column. Frampton was the thorn in the Devil's side hitting for 17 points. Saturday night the Red Devils played the Beaver high school squad here and after playing a rather ragegd game, came out on top in the score column with a 41-39 victory. Giles was the hero of the game. Beaver had closed a 10 point margin held by the Devils when Marlin came through with his long shooting abality to pull the SHS cagers through. The Devils looked somewhat tired from their previous nig-ht's encounter. I don't want to stand in the setting set-ting sun, |
