Show State Travel Trophy Meet Here Saturday Springville Jaycees and their partners will be tost at a state-wide Travel Trophy dinner meeting-Saturday meeting-Saturday night, October 6 at 8 p.m., at Memorial hall. jaycee ciuds trom over the state will be represented with approximately approxi-mately 300 members, state officers offi-cers and partners attending. Dancing Danc-ing will conclude the evening. State officers who are "expected to attend the big function are Bill Welch of Price, state president of the Jaycees; Tom Reese of Payson, Gene Mendenhall of Richfield, Rich-field, vice-presidents; and Wes Koffard of Orem, . vice-president in charge of the travel trophy. President Marcus Johnson of the Springville club will introduce the dignitaries. Russell Mendenhall will act as master of ceremonies for the evening eve-ning and will also have a patriotic message for the group.- Program numbers will include dance numbers num-bers directed by Barbara Braun Wingate, novelty selections from the Geneva recreation group, vocal solo by Don Humphrey, introduction introduc-tion of officers and presentation of travel- trophy to the winning club. The presentation of the travel trophy will be made by past state president, Kenneth Sowards of Vernal and will go to the club represented with the most man miles traveled to the dinner-meeting here. Springville won the last month's honors at a travel trophy dinner at Panguitch. A door prize will also be presented during the evening. In charge of the travel trophy meeting is Art Child, acting as chairman with Bud Done, Russell Mendenhall and Byron Wardle in charge of the program. LaMar Miner, with the assistance of the Jaycee Wives, is in charge of the dinner. Blaine Harfly will handle registration with Bill Averett acting act-ing as house committeeman. All associate members and former members are cordially invited to attend. |
