Announcement is made of the ! marriage of Lewis Bleggi and Mary Canto both of Mapleton, which took place in Provo last Wednesday, with Clerk Clarence Grant performing the ceremony. Mrs. Marie Stone entertained members of the Friendship club at her 'home Wednesday evening. Cards featured the entertainment together with a tasty luncheon served at small tables. Prizes for the evening's games were won by Mrs. If. L. 'Hutchinson, a guest, Mrs. Lula Jones, and Mrs. Georgia Perry, members. In attendance were Mrs. Grace Richmond, Mrs. Aleen Lopez, Mrs. George Perry, Mrs. Lula Jones, Mrs. Orlean Ash, Mrs. Wilda Oakley, Mrs. Bill Blanchard, Mrs. Margaret Hamb-lin, Hamb-lin, Mis. H. L. Hutchinson, the latter three being guests. Mrs. Olive Miller entertained members of the Fidelity Bridge club at her home last Friday evening. eve-ning. A delicious luncheon was served early followed by two tables of bridge. For the games Mrs. Rose Roylance and Mrs. Lula Clark was awarded prizes, the latter being a guest. The next meeting is scheduled to be held July 9, at the home of Mrs. Rose Roylance. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall have received word of the arrival of a baby daughter at the home of their nephew, Norman Hall and wife at Rigby, Idaho. Mrs. Olea Sargent was hostess to members of the Busy Finger club at her home Wednesday afternoon. aft-ernoon. Sewing was the diversion together with a nicely arranged luncheon served in conclusion. Nine club members and Mrs. J. A. Leslie, a special guest, were in attendance. Among the enjoyable parties of the past week Was one given by members of the 4-H club for their mothers under the direction of their leader Mrs. S. H. Ollerton, at her home. A dainty lunch prepared pre-pared by the girls was served early in the evening. Later games were played and eacJh of the club members rendered one part on the program. In attendance were the following club girls and their guests of Mr. Frickson's mother, Mrs. C. W. Erickson and other relatives here and at Spanish Fork during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Holliday and children of Santaquin and Mrs. Clara Smith of Ranta Barbara, Bar-bara, Calif., were among- the Fourth of July visitors here. A number of friends surprised Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ewing at their new home on West Second North street Saturday night. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sumsion at Chester. Among the enjoyable socials of the week was one Tuesday eve-nine eve-nine given by the Second ward Relief society in honor of Mr. and Mrs. J. Westley Robertson, who leaves soon with their family lor Kelscy, Texas. The party included in-cluded about 50 Relief society members and their partners all of whom enjoyed a nicely arranged arrang-ed program and refreshments. Welch and son David have returned from a delightful two-weeks trip to the 1 canyons in southern Utah and to California. Their daughter Gert- Among the many out-of-town i relatives who attended the funeral services for Murray rosby in the Spring ville Third ward Thursday afternoon, were the father, Guy Crosby of Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Crosby of Kimbeily, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Thompson, Garnell and Garth Crosby, Mrs. Wanda Merchant and son Max, Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Crosby, Mrs. Linda Munlord and Mr. and Mis. William Wanby all of Beaver ant" Mr. and Mrs. Sherman McGary of Spanish Fork. Following the services dinner was served by the Third ward Relief society for out-of-town relatives. Mrs. G. D. Kennedy and two daughters Edna and Glenna of Salina spent three days of the past week with relatives and friends here. The bride was lovely gowned in a blue taffeta with o corsage of pink rosebuds and sweetpeas. Roses decorated the entertaining rooms. After the ceremony an informal reception was held and the couple left for Salt Lake City for a few days after which they will return to make their home in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. J. X. Dallin of Boston, Mass., his sister, Mrs. Daisy Dallin South-worth, South-worth, Castella Springs; Lieutenant Lieuten-ant Dallin Southworth of Casper, Wyo; Darrell Greenwell, state WPA director and Mrs. Green-well; Green-well; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jesson, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Borg, N.K. Nielson, of Salt Lake City; Benjamin Ben-jamin Beveridge and Mrs. L. E. Eggertson of Provo; Verl Borg, state editor of the Deseret News, and Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Wood. O. F. Gudmundsen of Salt Lake City visited his sister, Mrs. John Childs and family here during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lew Averett and children spent the week end holidays holi-days with relatives in Springville, returning- to their home in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. A number of friends enjoyed a party in the canyon Sunday. The Seven Jolletts, 3-year 4-H club, entertained at a slumber party Saturday night. Early in the evening the girls called at each of the members' homes where refreshments were served. Those visited were: Lois Johnson, Naomi Binks, Norma Larson, Wilma Binks, leader; Laveta Hatch, Norma Johnson, Marjorie Whiting, Whit-ing, Theora Martin, leader and Elna and Virla Whiting.' At the latter's home the girls were entertained enter-tained at a slumber party. Dr. and Mrs. Frank Hatfield entertained for Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Welch at the former's cottage at Laguna Beach, Calif., during Mr. and Mrs. Welch's recent visit there. Members of the Jeune Mere club spent a delightful afternoon at a social for their children at the City park Thursday afternoon. Games, social chat, and refreshments refresh-ments featured the party. Plans for the next season's program were discussed. In attendance at the affair were the following club members and their children: Mrs. Florence Nelson, Mrs. Elaine Par-cell Par-cell of Provo, Mrs. Edna Clyde, Mrs. Lucille Childs, Mrs. Marie Whiting, Mrs. Gwcneth Thorn, Mrs. Beth Jensen of Mapleton and Mrs. Maurine Haymond. A pleasant time was spent 'by a number of friends and neighbors at a party given by Mrs. Leola Ewing at her home last week. Progressive 500 was played with prizes won by Mrs. Maude Curtis and Mrs. Maurine Haymond.
