The young couple plan to make their home in Springville. G. D. Kennedy came from Sa-lina Sa-lina last week to visit his family fam-ily here. He also attended the pharmacy convention held in Og-den Og-den the week end. George Pace of St. George visited visit-ed the past week with Dr. and Mrs. G. G. Neill and family in this city. Mr. and Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson Ander-son left Tlmr.sduy for an extended eastern trip. Mr. Anderson will represent the Springville Kiwajiis club at the national convention at Washington, D. C. this weelt. Following Fol-lowing the convention they plan to visit interesting places in and near New York City and will also spend considerable time in the larger cities en route to their home. Mrs. Will Brown will be hostess to members of the S. T. club ut her home Thursday night, beginning begin-ning at 8 p. m. All members are urged to be present. M h. A n attractive color scheme in pink and white was used In table decorations. Following dinner four tables of bridge were played and prizes for high score were awarded to Mrs. Margaret Grooms. Miss Carol Bird, Mrs. Bert Groesbeck, and Mrs. Madge Thorn. Others in attendance at-tendance were Miss Arlene Men- One of the most unique and enjoyable parties of this season was given by the Boosters' and the Novelty Circle, social units of the high school, last Wednesday night. The affair was held in the form of a barn dance at the large Olsen barn on the state highway. For decorations farm implements of every description were placed about the building. Old fashioned lanterns furnished light and the whole affair took j on the spirit of frontier days. The boys wore overalls and the girls sack aprons. During intermission refreshments, also in keeping with the general motif, were served. Approximately 80 members of the two organizations and their partners part-ners were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Salisbury and children of Salt Lake City, spent two days of the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Salisbury Salis-bury and other relatives and friends here. Miss Christine Cregg and Mrs. Alice Symes, nurses who have been visiting their sister, Mrs. Reed Straw and family here the past several months, left the past week for California where they .plan to attend a Nurses' conven-, conven-, lion and also visit interesting -places along the coast. 1 SPRINGVILLE One of the ' most interesting and attractive wedding receptions of this season, : was given Thursday evening at the Second ward hall, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mutch-ings. Mutch-ings. The couple were married in a double wedding ceremony in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday, Mrs. Maxwell and Mr. Humings ; are the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hutchings of this city. The couples were attended by separate bridal parties at the reception, re-ception, at which approximately 325 gues'.; were in attendance. The brides were beautifully gown- ed in white satin gowns with veils ! of fine silk lace caught with orange blossoms. They carried bridal bouquets of pink and white rosebuds. Miss Hazel Anderson guests enjoyed dancing to music by Howard Kearn's orchestra. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell plan to make their home in Provo and -Mr. and Mrs. Hutchings will re- . side in Springville. acted as maid of honor for Mrs. Maxwell and Miss Ruth Whitney for Mrs. Hutchings. The bridesmaids brides-maids were Miss Eva Starr. Miss Beth Anderson. Miss Ida Hoff- ,man. Miss Roselyn Eddingtun and i Miss Josephine McKenzie, Miss Marian Miner, Miss Ruth Baxter, Miss Beth Mendenhall. The maids of honor and bridesmaids wore beautiful gowns of organdie and lace in the pastel shades, with bouquets to correspond. Alva Maxwell and Alvon Orem, the latter lat-ter of Tooele, were best men. . Pauline Boyer and Elaine Boult, the laXer of Salt Lake City, were flower girls and Geraldine York, Joan Stewart, , Glenna Kennedy land Phyllis Peterson were train bearers. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchings welcomed wel-comed the guests and the ushers were Ralph Palfreyman, Carlos York, Don Miner, Clinton Fletcher, Fletch-er, Verl Harrison,' Richard Lover-idge, Lover-idge, Lyle Hatch and Berton Johnson.
