Show What's Doing In Kiwanis Merle Sargent will have the Kiwanis Ki-wanis club program in charge for Thursday night and is arranging tor fine musical numbers as well as an interesting speaker. Attorney Joseph E. Nelson of Spanish Fork give an enlightening talk on "Municipal Law," at the I club meeting last evening, the program being under direction cf Toastmaster A. O. Packard. Ferrin Heaton entertained with vocal solos. In attendance as special guests were Paul Packard and Charles Sargent. In connection with an attendance attend-ance contest the Kiwanis club is conducting a "miniature world series." Borrowing the names of the two famous teams, the Yankees and the Reds, the contest con-test -is taking on all the enthusiasm en-thusiasm and spirit which accompanies ac-companies games of the world series, according to Secretary D. B. Welch. Although the Yankees have never defeated the Reds, it looks like the whole thing might be reversed-so far as Kiwanis is concerned con-cerned with the Yankees 21 and the Reds 20. The Yankees are warned not to let the Reds shoot ahead of them during the deer season. The series with Managers A. Y. Wheeler and Dean Stewart as managers will continue until the later part of November. |
