Show ! Local ! Mrs. Ruth W. Anderson of Mt. ! Pleasant spent part of the Christ- j mas holidays with her parents, I Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whiting. She was accompanied on her return by Miss Helen Wheeler, who will spend a few days there. Mr. and Mrs. Marcellus Nielson entertained at a Christmas dinner din-ner at their home for Mrs. Mary Smart and daughter Phylis, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe and family. Miss Thora Whiting is spending spend-ing the holidays with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Whit-! Whit-! ing. She has been attending school at the U. of U.t Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whiting and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nielson at dinner on Christmas day. Miss Bernice Parks, high school dramatic art instructor, left Springville Wednesday to fly to New York City on urgent business. busi-ness. Under the direction of the stake M, I. A., "Miss Lulu," a three-act play, was presented in the high school Tuesday night, by a group of players from the McCunc School of Art and Music, Salt Lake City. An appreciative ap-preciative audience enjoyed the performance. A missionary farewell for Francis Bover, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Oscar Boyer of this city, who leaves next month for the northern states mission, was held in the Third ward Sunday evening, under the direction of the missionary committee. |
