Show T. R. GREENER COUPLE WED 50 YEARS Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Greener, Green-er, well known and higiily re-, spected citizens of this city, will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 27. In celebration of the occasion they invite their friends, relatives and neighbors to attend an open house reception at their home on South Fourth East street, from 2 until 5 p. m., next Thursday. In the evening, the family members mem-bers will gather at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Felix, for a dinner given in 'honor of the couple. Mr. and Mrs1. Greener were marrie'd at Joseph, Sevier county, October 27, 1888. They came to Springville in 1919 from Hinckley, Hinck-ley, where they had resided 27 years. Before coming to Hinckley Hinck-ley they had lived in Sevier and Kan os h. Ma'. Greener took a prominent part in the industrial development develop-ment of Hinckley and was a successful suc-cessful farmer and stockman of that vicinity. He was also active in church work, having served on a mission in the northwestern states a few years prior to coming com-ing to Springville. He was a councelor in the Springville First ward bishopric from 1920 to 1924, assisting with the building plans for the ward chapel. Mrs. Greener lias also taken an active part in L. D. S. churCh work, having served as a councelor coun-celor in the Relief. Society at Hinckley, and has been a faithful faith-ful ward member here. The couple have four children, Mrs. Jacob Feiix of Springville; John Greener of Heber City; J.A. and Ray Greener of Helper; 14 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, most of whom will to in attendance to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary. |
