Show Unique Program Marks 2nd Ward M. I. A. Opening "A Spiritual Feast" was the theme carried out at the entertainment, enter-tainment, marking the opening of the Second ward M. I. A. Tuesday Tues-day night, with Mrs. Martha Harrison Har-rison in charge. Sclvoy J. Boyer, representing the bishopric was general chairman: Dr. John R. Anderson An-derson acted as host, and Mrs. Mac Fletcher as hostess. After an organ prelude by Mrs Mary Boyer, the entire M.'l. A. personnel was uniquely yet effectively effect-ively introduced through symbolic symbol-ic terms used at a feast. With short talks or other clever arrangement, ar-rangement, a complete preview of the M. I. A. year's work was given, the class leaders and activity directors dir-ectors preparing and serving the various courses. In a well worked out manner, the Improvement Era manager was introduced as a salesman for the cook book, the receipes rrom which were used most everywhere. The Seoul leader and scouts were introduced as the central decorative decorat-ive figure of the banquet table, ' while the bee-hive girls appeared with emblems symbolic of the bee hives and cells. In no less interesting interest-ing manner were all of the phases of M. I. A. work presented in terms of an elaborate feast. The desert, a fitting climax ' to the spiritual meal was featured' in a combination of music, drama and dancing, with the leaders In these departments participating. The evening's entertainment was concluded with dancing i and the serving of refreshments. |
