Show A Thought In Brief (Editorial) For the past several months the Springville Herald has had printed in the top corners of the front page the slogan, "SHOP IN SPRINGVILLE AND SAVE." Does this slogan infer that we can buy from our local merchants at prices lower than can be obtained elsewhere? Probably not, although we are sure that in the long-run long-run their low reasonable prices are not bettered anywhere. What then is the meaning of "SHOP IN SPRINGVILLE SPRING-VILLE AND SAVE?" When you trade in Springville you are helping your neighbor to succeed. Springville merchants buy and carry, as much as possible, products manufactured in Springville, services furnished by Springville firms, and farm products grown on Springville farms. They consume and pay for power and light produced by our municipal plant. They pay taxes which help educate our children. They employ Springville Spring-ville people. They contribute liberally to our community enterprises, en-terprises, and are ready to serve with the greatest possible speed and convenience. Can we afford to overlook the opportunity to shop in Springville and. save. ior ourselves community happiness and prosperity? |
