Show DEATH CLAIMS M. L. CRANDALL CONTRACTOR Myron L. Crandall, 79 retired contractor and well known resident resi-dent of this community, died Wednesday Wed-nesday at 4:3Ti a. m., at a Provo hospital following a short illness. Mr. Crandull was born here October 30, 1856, a son of Martin and Mahalia Fuller Crandall who were among the first settlers in Springville. Mr. Crandall took a prominent part in early railroad construction work throughout the western states. He later became a successful suc-cessful farmer and stockman, retiring re-tiring from the latter occupations a number of years ago. During his early life he was active in political affairs of the community, being a staunch Republican Re-publican always. He had always been a faithful member of the L. D. S. church and taken part in the various church organizations. He had the distinction of being one of the first twins born in Springville and at the time of his death was one of the oldest twins in the city. He had always been closely associated, both in business busi-ness and social affairs, with his twin brother, Milan L. Crandall, who is still living. His wife, Viola Cook Crandall died in 1931, since which time Mr. Crandall had made his home with a daughter Mrs. Amasia Rowland in this city. Mr. Crandall had a host of friends in Springville and many old time associates deeply mourn his passing. Surviving, besides Mrs. Rowland, Row-land, are the following children: Miss Louise Crandall, Chicago, 111.; Dr. Myron L. Crandall, Rawlins, Raw-lins, Wyo.; Martin Crandall, Springville; Lawrence Crandall, Maryland; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Milan L. Crandall, Springville; E. M. Crandall, Salt Lake City and a half sister, Mrs. Mahalia Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, Springville. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 2 p. m., in the Fourth ward chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen . cemetery, under the direction of A.. Y. Wheeler Mortuary. Friends may call at the home of Mrs! Rowland;-Tiist East and First South street, before the services. |
