Show COUNTY FAIR PLANS EVENTS Mendcnhall Again Takes Post As President of County Fair Board. John h. Mendenhall of Springville Spring-ville former president of the Utah county fair board was again drafted for that position at a meeting of the board, Monday evening in the city and county building. The action became necessary when J. T. Fairer who was named president several months ago resigned re-signed to move to Los Angeles. Arrangements for the holding of the fair in September were made by disposing of several important problems in regard to entertainment entertain-ment features. Decision to engage three bands was made by the board. It was also decided to engaged the Provo Drum and Bugle corps ,to stage exhib-tions exhib-tions during the fair. Some altei nations of the racing program were recommended. The running harness races will be eliminated elim-inated and an equestrienne act substituted. The running races will be held as usual, according to C. L Warnick, manar of the fair. The horse pulling events, gaining in popularity will be held as usual and the prize money in this division was increased to $300. Under a new policy one entrance fee will admit to all entertainment features except the concessions. "Ciaters of the Moon" one of the most spectacular exhibitions ever seen in this section will be shown each clay during the fair. |
