Show UTAH COUNTY GUNNERS STAR Alton Groncman, Ray Hansen and Bill Rita Brilliant At Camp Perry Alton F. Groncman, one of the two Provo entries in the national rifle matches now being held at Camp Perry, Ohio, showed the Utah civilian rifle team the way in two of the individual contests Thursday. Thurs-day. Surpassf Veterans Groneman, who has never before fired in national match competition competi-tion surpassed such veterans as the Hansen brothers of Goshen, the Weymouth family of Salt Lake, the PnvBon boys, and his team mate Bill Rita, all with two or more years of Camp Perry experience. In the member's match with a total of 1,470 entries, Groncman topped the Utah team with a score of 48 points out of a possible 50. Groneman's score will rank him very near the top of the civilian -class in the contest. In the Scott match, the Provo punncr again stared for his team, firing 72 out of a possible 75 points, only three marks behind the big winner. Bill Rita, the other Garden Gar-den City entry, also broke a 72 on this shot. Hansen Come Througi'i In the Crowell contest with over 1.300 entries, the veteran Ray Hansen Han-sen of Goshen, coach of the Utah team, displayed some rave, marksmanship marks-manship by racking up 72 out of a possible 75 points, just one digit behind H. Frazer of Oregon, the winning civilian Hansen's score rated him third civilian, an honor not to be taken lightly. Bill Rita nlaced second on the Utah team in this event with a 68.
