Show SCOUTS ENJOY LIFE AT CAMP TIMPANCGOS The scouts of Kolob stake with Scoutmaster Lewis Cutler returned Saturday from an enjoyable week at the Timpanogos scout camp. This stake made up three camps with about twelve scouts in each. Three principal i hikes wi taken by the boys during their stay at the camp, one to the Cascades, Cas-cades, another to Salamander lake, and another to Mt. Timpanogos. Timpano-gos. A large crowd of scouts reached the top in the latter climb. Preparation of the meals was done entirely by the scouts, the menus having been planned by the scoutmasters. Each camp was divided into three groups: woodmen, wood-men, sanitation squad and cooks. Duties of the woodmen consisted of gathering wood, watching the fire and carrying water. The sanitation squad looked after the garbage, cleaned the camp and washed dishes. The cooks prepared the meals. Each boy had a turn at all three jobs. A representative from each of the troops of the stake together with officials from the district were in attendance one or more days during the encampment. |
