Show Hiker, Befriended, Steal's Buddy's Car And Departs Harvey H. McDonald of the Soldiers' Home, California, had his automobile stolen from him by a ewly formed acquaintance while they were stopping at Beck's cabins cab-ins in Spanish Fork, Saturday evening, eve-ning, according to McDonald's story to Sheriff E. G. Durnell. McDonald told the board of county coun-ty commissioners, Monday, to whom he applied for assistance to get to his destination, that he had picked a man by the name of Frank Cox up on the highway out of Denver and had given him a ride. Cox appeared to be a decent sort of fellow and the two men camped together. While McDonald McDon-ald was taking a ,bath at Spanish Fork, his companion took the car, a Dodge touring, which was loaded with $10 worth of groceries, quilts and blankets, shoes, a shotgun, and several other items including a complete outfit of cooking utensils. |
