A number of former students delightfully de-lightfully surprised Miss Boss Fin-ley Fin-ley at her home Friday overling. An enjoyable time was spent with social so-cial chat and music and a dain:y lunch was served. Those present included, in-cluded, Misses Molley Bird, Lucy LaVangcr, Fern Bate, Donna Salisbury, Salis-bury, Bcrnice Faucett, Claire Oud-mundiien, Oud-mundiien, Bert Gledhill, Hugh Ward and Howard McKenzie. The Gleaner girls of the Second ward M. I. A. were delightfully entertained en-tertained at a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. George A. Anderson Ander-son Saturday evening. A most enjoyable en-joyable time was spent with music, .social chat and games. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Packard of this city announce the engagement of their daughter Jessee to Arthur E. Condie of Springville. The marriage mar-riage will lake place late in January Janu-ary and soon after the young couple will leave for Seattle, Wash., where Mr. Condie is manager of one of a' chain of O. P. Skaggs stores. Among the pleasant parties of the past week was one given Mon-- Mon-- day evening for members of the Second ward Beehive class at the home of Miss Mary Boyer. Complimentary to a number of friends Mr. and Mrs. Dimick Huntington Hunt-ington entertained at an enjoyable card party at their home Monday evening. Holiday emblems and colors of red and green were predominant pre-dominant among the decorations of the rooms. A tasty luncheon was served by the hostess to the following fol-lowing guests: Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Mendenhall Sr., Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McKenzie, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Men-denhall Men-denhall and Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lawrence of Salt Lake. One of the outstanding social events of the holiday week was the member was accompanied by a ! guest and Christmas presents were exchanged during the party. A very pleasant time was spent playing play-ing games, toasting marshmallows and telling stories. A dainty lunch was served in ' conclusion to the following friends present: Marion Miner, Geraldine Eggertsen, Cleon 'Fox, Gladys Thompson, Evelyn Miner, Ethel Crandall, Norma Harrison and teacher Miss Boyer. Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird entertained enter-tained during the holidays for members of their family: Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Huish of Salt Lake City and Miss Carol Bird, who was home for the holidays from Weston, Idaho, where she is teaching in the high school. At a nicely arranged Christmas dinner Mr. and Mrs. Dimick Huntington Hunt-ington entertained the following relatives at their home: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Jones of Spanish Fork, Miss Florence Jones of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. J.
