It contains a chapel, 78 feet long and 36 feet wide, with a seating ca-Ipity ca-Ipity of. 75; a Relief society as- sembly and nine class rooms con-ftructed con-ftructed with folding doors so that ihey may be converted into one lateo banquet hall. The kitchen is an attractive, room, fully equipped with cupboards, sink, range ano electric devices. It has silver, linen, fiass and chinaware to serve 150 Bueel.-i. Other special features of Ihe new building are a bishop's council room, record room, rest loom, baptismal fount, sacrament alcove and boy scout room. The amusement hall remodeled !from the old building is now 78 feet long and about 30 feet wide. It is equipped with 300 portable seats and the room may be used for dances, banquets, or any other church amusements. The stage at the south of the hall has been equipped with, new scenery, scen-ery, curtains and footlights. It may be used for operas, plays or programs. . D. C. Young, church architect of Salt Lake, drew the plans for the building. It was erected chiefly by ward labor under the direction of Joseph Grant and Elias Strong. |
