Boyer nnd family attended a social in Provo last Tuesday evening at the home of Dr. D. IX Boyer in honor of B. C. Ciuymon, whose ninety-third ninety-third birthday anniversary occurred oc-curred that day. An enjoyable evening was spenl lr.!it Tuesday at a weinie roast at Rock House flat in Hobble Creek canyon. In attendance were Bird Beardall, Miss Betty Ray, Von Set-fens, Set-fens, Miss Marcia Bryant, Cloyd Bradley and Miss May Harrison. M i s. Carrie Tripp was hostess to the Ava Delma club at her home Wednesday evening. From four smaltl tables, each centered with rose-buds a tasty luncheon was served to the following ladies: Mrs. Pearl Smith, Mrs. Virginia Harker, Mrs. Margaret Zabriskie, Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Noe. Mis. Nomi Beardall, Mrs.) Vera Zabriskie, Mrs. Helen Beard- all, Mrs. Viola Smith, Mrs. Camille Taylor, Mrs. Wealtha Mendenhall. Mis. Gwen Cutler and Mrs. Violet Budlow of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Marian Phillips of Provo, Mrs. Georgia Wood, Mrs. Ance Ence and Miss Lucy Zabriskie, the latter six being guests. Club prize for bridgq was awarded to Mrs. Smith and the guest prize to Mrs. Cutler. Mrs. Lowry G. Anderson will be hostess to the Badies" Literary club at her home Saturday, September 30, beginning at 2 o'clock. Mr .and Mrs. H. E. Urquhart of this city plan to make their home i in Provo in t'he near future. Miss Wilma Parker of Salt Bake is visiting her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Bird and family here. Mr. and Mrs. O. Wilford Olsen ' who came from Boston to spend the summer with Mrs. Olsen's mother, Mrs. Bydia Palfreyman, left Thursday evening for St. Paul Minn., wnere Mr. Olsen will attend school the coming year. Mrs. Elizabeth Whitmore of this city is visiting her son Glendon Whitmore and family at San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif. Lloyd Bird and Morris Bird spent several days of the past week on an outing- at Fish lake. A large number of Springville people attended the Utah county lair at Provo Friday and Saturday, ; and many entries were made from the community fair earlier in the week.
