Miss Bcrnicrv Wheeler, Miss Marie Child and Miss Captola Cherring-ton Cherring-ton chaperoned the church history class of the Fourth ward Sunday school on a hike and weiner roast to Spring creek canyon Wednesday evening. Members of the class present pres-ent to enjoy the affair were: Beth Miller, Aileen Bow, Marjorie Burt, Bcrnice Palfrey man, Aileen Con-diCi Con-diCi Jean Neill, Dorothy Bradley; Vera Wheler, Louise Patrick Mark and Mary Whiting, lone Averett, Lorraine Zabriskie, Ardell Angus, Martha Bird. A pleasant time was spent Wednesday Wed-nesday evening whCn the' young people of the Provo district Christian Chris-tian Endeavor associations assembled as-sembled at Kelly's Grove in Hobble creek canyon. During the evening eve-ning various competitive games were played around a huge bonfire. Weiners were also roasted. After a program of community singing and stunts the boys and girls assembled as-sembled to discuss the Christian Endeavor conference which is to be htld the latter part of this month. Finley; reading, read-ing, Mrs. Hattie Dougall; short talks wCre also given by the following, follow-ing, Mrs. Willis Summon, Mrs, Ellon El-lon McKenzio, Mrs. Delia Carter, Mrs. Julia Dallin, Mrs. Hannah Davis, Mrs. Viola Crandall; vocal selection with Mrs. Bell Childs, Mrs. Mae Smith, Mrs. A. W. Cher-rington, Cher-rington, Mrs. Eliza Thorn, Mrs. Ellen El-len Whccle'r, and Mrs. Mary J. Finley. The young people of the Springville Spring-ville Community church will give a program in the church at Pay-son Pay-son Wednesday evening, June 39. A play will be the' outstanding feature. fea-ture. Most of their time will be spent with Miss j Maria Johnson at Pasadena. Miss Alzada Wilmott who taught at the' Washington school during the past year left Tuesday for Chicago where she will spend part of the summer studying the latest methods meth-ods in teaching piano. Before returning re-turning to her home she will spend some time with friends in Indianapolis. Indian-apolis. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bird and family left early Friday morning for a seVeral days fishing trip to Fish lake. The members of the Social . Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and family, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Milki3 and son of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. T. H. John-Gon John-Gon of Provo spent several days of the past week fishing on Provo river.
