Show REPUBLICANS HOLD COUNTY MEET SEPT. 17 Chairman I. E. Brockbank Issues Call for Primariesto Select Delegates. Call for the holding of primaries for the election of delegates to the Republican county convention will be sent to the various precinct chairmen chair-men of Utah county "Wednesday by I. E. Brockbank, county chairmau of the Republican party. The county convention- will be held in Spanish Fork, Wednesday, September 17, according to a decision de-cision made at the meeting of the county central committee at the office of-fice of Booth and Brockbank Saturday Satur-day night. According to the call there will be about 305 delegates to the county convention, each precinct haying one delegates for every 25 votes cast for Congressman E. O. Leatherwood at the election two years ago. The county convention will be opened by County chairman I. E. Brockbank who will select the temporary tem-porary officers. While it is not def- initely decided it is understood that Mayor Charles H. White of Payson ' will he the temporary chairman and 1 will in that case deliver the keynote address. Mayor White is a fluent speaker and is well known in politi- eal circles in the county and the ' state, having been mayor of his city ' for a number of years and also serv-1 serv-1 Ing Utah county 'in the state legisla--- ture several years ago. 1 . . |
