Show UTAH CROPS j j ON INCREASE' I Wheat, oats, and barley have increased in-creased considerably in total valu-tion valu-tion this year in ITtah. according to announcement of Frank Andrews An-drews of Salt Lake, agricultural statistician for the Utah district of the U. S. department of agriculture. agri-culture. The three crrps this year are val-I val-I nod at $3,300,000, as compared with $7,648,000, the aggregate production j lor 1927 being 9.450,000, and for 1926 8465.000 bushels. Value of the 1927 wheat crop of I 5,724.000 bushels was $6,000,000 oom-! oom-! pared with last year's 5.505,000 I bushels at $5,772,000, the statisti-i statisti-i cian reports. The 1927 oat crop totaled 2.340,000 j bushels, as compared with 2,160.000 and the value of both crops was 1 about the same, $1,300,000. ! Barley crop amounted to 1.380,000 bushels and was valued at approximately approxi-mately $1,000,000 compared with the 1926 crop of 800.000 bushels valued at $576,000, Mr. Andrews said. |
