Mrs. Louie White and Miss Lola R'hite returned this week from an enjoyable vacation trip to California Cali-fornia where they visited their son uud brother. Among the many campers who Kpeut last week at the Black Hawk War Veterans' celebration at Heber were: Mr. and Mrs. A. Y. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Almn Fullmer, Mr. and Mrs.. Steve Dalliu, Mr. and Mrs. George Dallin, ,Mr. and Mrs. John Whiting and Mrs. Rose Boyer. Mr. and Mrs. Deal Mcndenhall nnd children of Canada arrived in Springville this week where they will spend a short time with relatives rela-tives and friends. Miss Maud Smith and Rhoda Groesbeck left Monday morning for n two weeks trip through California. During their stay they will spend somertime with Miss Smith's sister, Mrs. 'J. B. Hoskius at Santa Barbara. Barb-ara. Mr! and Mrs. Howard Mcndenhall nnd two children came from Vernal Sunday to visit with friends nnd relatives here. Mr. Mendenhall is employed with the J. C. Penney Co. at Vernal. , Among the lending socinl events of the week end was the miscellaneous miscellan-eous shower given Saturday evening eve-ning by Miss Rhoda Groesbeck nnd Maud Smith at the home of the latter iu compliment to Mrs. Bess Stewart, a recent bride. A color scheme of orange was carried out during the entire party, baskets of marigolds being used as centerpieces center-pieces on the four small tables. A delicious luncheon was served during dur-ing the early part of the evening after which the guests enjoyed the game "500". The honor guast received many pretty and useful gifts from about twenty-five close friends and relatives rela-tives who were present. Mrs.' Sarah Hontz accompanied her daughter Mrs. J. H. Shepherd back to Salt Lake Sunday where she will visit this week. A well arranged dinner was given Tuesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Dallin at their home. More than one hundred and fifty members of the Taylor family of this city gathered at Geneva Friday Fri-day for their annual family reunion. A delightful social affair was held Tuesday eveuing when the children and their families met at the home of Mr. and .Mrs. J. A.
