Show CEMENT FLOOR , CONTRACT LET i Contracts for putting in the ce- j ment floor in the basement of the 1 New City and County building i were awarded Monday by the board j of county commissioners to Tolboe I & Co., contractors, it was announced by Chairman James T. Gardner. The Tolboe company's bid was for $5,779 as against a bid of $7,838.20 by Jones & Cox, which was the only other bid submitted. The contract will be signed and work commenced as soon as the necessary nec-essary bonds are furnished to the Tolboe company. Work on the plumbing and heating heat-ing systems is progressing satisfactorily, satis-factorily, it was said, and that the rough work would be completed in I time for the cement workers to go 1 ahead with the floor. No definite time for the completion of the floor was stated in the specifications owing to the fact that all the I rough plumbing must be completed I before the floor can all be laid. It is the intention of the contractors con-tractors to rush the work to completion com-pletion as soon as possible, however, how-ever, in order to get the cement work done before the extreme cold 1 weather sets in.
