Neighbors also heard the screams and came running along the-railroad tracks that runs past the yard and the infuriated in-furiated animal came charging after them with his mouth wide open. One of the men, Mike Cowan, brought a gun with him and shot the animal when it reached the fence. Not long ago the same animal was said to have attacked a boy in a similar manner and was only saved by the boy's dog fighting the beast and succeeding in attracting it's attention at-tention while the boy ran to safety. Bergman is said to he in a very critical condition as a result of the affair, his car entirely missing and also suffering from severe bruises-from bruises-from the animal's feet, - |
