Show SPRINGVILLE'S CITYCOUNCIL Springville Officials Enforce Dog Tax Law and Bicycle Ordinance. Dog taxes must T)0 paid and bl-cycle bl-cycle license plates must be procured pro-cured by March 20. This announcement announce-ment was emphatically made at the Springville city council meeting, in regular session last Tuesday evening March 4 when the executive offi-; offi-; cers of the city were instructed to j see rhat these ordinances were i strictly enforced. j " It was' brought out by members of the council that parties who have dogs in their keeping, without n tax receipt otter this rtate are or tenders of the law and should be fined in the city court. The city marshall was instructed to keep a close watch and see that these ordinances are enforced en-forced as provided by law. A complaint was made that there is at present a shortage of water in the ciry water system. It was suggested sug-gested that this' is the season of the year when the springs at the head-house head-house are at the lowest and it was further suggested that it is possible that some of the citizens are letting ; their water taps runs more than is necessary. The water department was requested to cneck up on the water users and see if any water is being wasted. The committee on streets and walks was oulhorled to negotiate a contract for the construction of a bridge over Hobble Creek on Fourth East street. Bills for the month were presented present-ed by the recorder an approved by the council. |
