McAdam proposed a new article to the by laws id' the league, providing that in case of protested games a written statement must be sent by the manager of the protesting protest-ing club to the secretary of the league within 4$ hours after the game is played. Spanish Fork was granted the privilege priv-ilege to add a catcher and a pitcher to their club roster, in order to! strengthen their team and to make competition more interesting in the. league. It was decided by the hoard of control that until an indebtedness of $200 be cleared up by the Kureka cluli. visiting teams at Kureka. with the exception of Trove, be given giv-en a 40 per cent cut of the gale receipts, re-ceipts, based on an admission fee of :i;" cents. Prcvo will he given a -10 per cent cut on the actual ; amount taken in at the gate, since Provo and Kureka are the only clubs charging more than 35 cents admission. The meeting was characterized by go o d fee ling and sportsmanship throughout. The differences aired were discussed in a business-like and good-natured way. The financial report of the various var-ious clubs shoved that the league has never been in a healthier and more thriving condition than at the present time. The club representatives representa-tives reported unusual interest in the league in every section, with renewed re-newed interest being taken in some of the communities where enthusiasm enthus-iasm has been more or less dormant for several yeors. Predictions were made that the league will continue to grow in xower and popularity, and that an even stronger organization organiza-tion and better ball will be present -i |
