Show In' The' Social Realm Mrs. Manilla Brown Reporter, Phone 146 Popular Young Couple Married Charming in every detail was the wedding , und reception of Miss Stella Nielsen,. , daughter of Mrs. Emily Nielsen of Provo, and Lawrence Law-rence D. Craudall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron. L. Craudall, Sr., of Springville, .which took place Thursday .evening at the CraudalL residence in Springville. The entire house, was decorated in a color scheme of pink and white, streamers, spring flowers and potted plants being employed. In the receiving line were Mrs. Frnl'y- Nrelson, -Mr,-and Mrs. Myron My-ron L. Crandall, Sr., Italpli Nielsen, Milan Craudall, . Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Rowlund, Mr. und Mrs. Murtin P. Crandall, and II. P. Gamniell. The ceremony was performed at S o'clock by Bishop Hilton Robertson Robert-son of Springville, in. the presence of the immediate family members of the young couple. - The bride wore a beautiful gown of perriwinkle blue flat crepe, with pink rose trimmings, and carried a bride's bouquet of roses, lily of the valley and baby breath. Miss Etta Nielsen, sister of the bride, and Miss Louise Crandall, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids,, and wore dainty gowns of green georgette and orchid georgette, respectively. They each carried a bride's bouquet. Dunn Taylor of Springville was the best man. Following' the ceremony ah interesting inter-esting program was furnished, including: in-cluding: Vocal solos and piano selections, se-lections, Mrs. H; C. Hicks, of Salt Lake; readings, Miss Donna Salisbury Salis-bury of Springville; piano solo, Mrs. Lyman Haymond of Springville.: Spring-ville.: humorous reudiug. H. C. Hicks of Salt Lake; vocal duet, Lawrence nnd Itulon Crandall, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. H. C. Hicks, pianist; vocal duet, Frank Bringhurst Bring-hurst and Mrs. G. S. Woods. The fact that Mr. Bringhurst and Mrs. Woods sang this same selection at the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Myron L. Crandall, Sr.. parents par-ents of the groom, forty years ago, made the number one of interest. The remainder of the evening was spent with games, after which a tray luncheon in the color scheme pink and white, was served to fifty. The young couple were the recipients recip-ients of many useful and beautiful wedding gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Crandall left Friday .ifteruoon for Rawlins, Wyoming, where they will visit several days with Mr. ' Crandoll's brother. Dr. Myron L. Crandall, Jr. They will a'so visit relatives and friends in Omaha and Chicago, after which they will go to Minneapolis. Minn., where they will make their home. Mrs. V. S. Wilson spei't one day last week visiting in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. William Flygare entertained at their home Mu;i(l ly cvecing in honor of Mr. and Mi's-.1. Mi's-.1. M. Baker of Prove. Mi's. V. S. Wilson and daughters Anne Marie and Dixie Lee, were guests at a dinner party given at. the home of Mrs, L. B. Bigler Friday, One of the most interesting parties part-ies of the week was given Monday by Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. A. Y. Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington and Mrs. and Mrs. Dimick Oiilds at the home Mr. and Mrs. J. O, Reynolds in honor of their mother Mrs. Walter Walt-er Wheeler, whose 75th birthduy anniversary occurred upon - that, day. The following program was given by relatives of- the honor j guest: national songs-by all pres- ent ; quartet, Dav and- Thomas Wheeler, Mrs. Dimick Childs and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington ; welcome address. Mrs. J. O. Reynolds ; read-j ing, Mrs. T. K. Childs; trio. Inez1 Wheeler. J. T. Wheeler r.ud Mrs. J. O. Reynolds: Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. A. TT. Childs ' -and E. T. Childs ST- were all special ' guests and gave short reminiscences of their earlier lives. Mrs. Wheeler received many beautiful birthday gifts which were presented to her after the program. A delicious valentine val-entine luncheon was served to 42 guests during which time 75 candles were lighted and burned furnishing furnish-ing light .throughout the entertaining entertain-ing rooms. Out of town guests included in-cluded Miss LaVern (Vosbry and Miss Leah Meservey of Provo. i Mr. and Mrs. IT. T. Reynolds Jr. attended the Lumbermen's convention conven-tion held Saturday at the Hotel Utah. ' i Henry Sumsion returned to bis home Monday after spending several sever-al days with friends at Chester, Utah. Mr. Sumsion was a former resident of Chester. Mrs. Foster Bowen and children of Spanish Fork spent the week-end with her sister Mrs. W. W. Clyde of this city. Tile Primary officers and teachers of this city will hold a siocial social so-cial hour in the Third ward amusement amuse-ment hull Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mrs. E. M. Brimhall of Spanish Fork spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Brimhall and family of this city. Mrs. P. E. Singleton announces the marriage of her granddaughter Valetta Smith of this city to Jack Wiliiums of Los Angeles. The mar-" riftge took place Feb, 2 at Los Angeles. An-geles. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Emmett Bird entertained the bishopric nnd genealogy gen-ealogy workers of t lu Springville First ward at their home Friday evening. General sociability and games were enjoyed. Delicious refreshments re-freshments were served to 20 guests. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn. Mrs. Hap Sanford and Mrs. Milessa MessengCiT. In the evening eve-ning the party motored to Salt Lake and had dinner with Dr. and Mrs. Mark Bringhurst.
