Show WARD HONORS OLD BISHOPRIC Bishop George R. Maycock and his -counselors, John W. Alleman and Alva Zabriskie, who were, released re-leased as the head of the Springville Spring-ville Fourth ward at the time the new Kolob stake was organized were given a social at the Springville Spring-ville high school auditorium Friday Fri-day evening January 16, by the members of the ward. Each was presented with a signet ring, as a token from the members of the ward. Bishop Hilton R. Robertson was In charge. Dancing began the evening's entertainment en-tertainment and later the following program was rendered: community singing "Oil Ye Mountains High": the invocation was given by Willis E. Strong of the high council: a slant "Belles of Ilickvillc Having a Social"; stunt by the boy scouls, "Nothing to do Until Tomorrow": piano solo by Marjorle Parker; stunt "Organ Grinders Serenade." by M. I. A. girls; a musical entertainment enter-tainment on a saw by Mr. Jenkins accompanied by Josephine Sanford and Howard Mendenhall; a one act play entitled "And the Lamps Went (int." The presentation of rings was made by Miss Fanny Rowland. Luncheon wns served. |
