Show Mr. and Sirs. Donald Stevens Stev-ens visited Saturday from Clearfield, coming especially to see her father, George Weight, who is now at the Willard Rest Home in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. LuDean Lister CLU, of Springville, Utah, returned re-turned recently from Monterey, Monte-rey, California, where they attended at-tended the Beneficial Life Insurance In-surance Co. annual convention. In order to qualify for this outstanding honor, Mr. Lister had to meet successfully, definite def-inite standards of production throughout the preceding year. Robert D. Herbert, person-nelman person-nelman second class, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Herbert of 98 "A" St., Springville, Spring-ville, is serving aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Valley Forge which participated partici-pated in operation "Wind Sock" off the coast of Calif., June 3-14. Designated a landing team exercise, Wind Sock involved some 3;000 Marines off-loaded via helicopter in daylight and nighttime flight operations. Hal R. Shepherd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Shepherd, 138 No. 3rd East, has enrolled at the Weltech College, Salt Lake City, to begin training as an electronics technician. He is a graduate of Springville High School. Capt. and Mrs. Ray Mecham (Norma Weight) and four children are visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weight and other relatives and friends here from Mountain Home, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Davis were dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Waters, Sunday, the occasion being a visit of a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Corey and family of Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beardall (LaRue Whiting) and little daughter, Laurie Kae, have returned re-turned to their home in Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Calif., following a visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Ernest Whiting and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Beardall. They were accompanied on their return by Mrs. Beardall also LaRue's sister Pauline Whiting. |
