Springville girl takes honors in state event A Springville girl, Lorraine Judd, 17, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. W. Judd, was named first attendant to the state Cowbelle queen, Mary Cowan of Payson, at the state convention con-vention in Salt Lake City the past weekend. Elaine Jones, 17, daugTiter of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Jones of Spanish Fork was second attendant. The girls competed with other candidates from over the state for the honors. Lorraine, an attractive brunette bru-nette in her junior year at high school, ' did a novelty dance number for her talent in the contest but could just as well have given a reading, a piano selection or a number on the violin. It was a new and worthwhile experience for the Springville entrant in such a contest, but it in all probability probab-ility will not be her last. Dehydrated onions take the tears out of cooking. |
