Show Six injured in two-car highway mishap .Three Springville students of Brigham Young University escaped es-caped serious injury, although the car in which they were riding and that of the other involved in the accident, were practically demolished, in an accident Friday evening. Jon Bird, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Bird, suffered a fractured shoulder, the loss of several teeth and deep lacerations lacera-tions about his face and head and was released from Utah Valley Hospital this week. Others in the car, Robert Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert O. Brown, driver, and Esther Es-ther Hafen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hafen of Pro-vo Pro-vo and Vicky Killpack, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Ardis Killpack, Springville, suffered minor injuries. in-juries. The accident occurred during dur-ing a heavy rain, when the Brown car made a left turn at the Pioneer Drive-Inn and was struck broadside by a northbound north-bound car driven by C. L. Ras-mussen Ras-mussen and, accompanied by Daniel Valdez of Price. . They also sustained cuts and bruises. '. |
