Show Mapleton News By Mrs. Norris T. Binks Phone HUnter 9-5875 Norman Graves has been sustained as the president of the Seventys of the Mapleton Ward. He replaces Lee Bartholomew. Bar-tholomew. Mrs. Floyd Tuttle, Patricia Hall and Suzanna Hjorth chaperoned chap-eroned eighteen MIA girls at the Mutual Girls campout last week. The girls and their host's enjoyed three days of camping activities. Elder Niel Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Jensen, has recently been made Branch President in Owyhee, Nevada. He is fulfilling an LDS mission mis-sion in that field. Janice, Douglas and Ranae children of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Hillquist, returned home after visiting with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Laura Hillquist in Richfield. Dell Court, four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Court suffered a broken arm while playing. j Recent guests at the Hugh Hjorth home were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clements and family of Ogden. New residents in Mapleton are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Elder and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hillquist and family. They live in the Mapleton Second Sec-ond Ward. Mrs. Douglas (Barbara) Jensen Jen-sen and daughter Kerry arrived from Germany by plane and is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hall. She has spent the past year in Germany where her husband has been stationed with the TJ. S. Army. Mr. Jensen Jen-sen will arrive in July following follow-ing his discharge.' Recent visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Banks have been their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Loback and family. Mrs. Martha Houtz entertained enter-tained her quilting club at her home recently. Twelve friends spent the day making a quilt. Lunch was served. |
