Bliss has com- t' freign mission for th Church in France, spending spend-ing part of his time in Belgium and Switzerland, these two countries being part of the French Mission. Music for the program was furnished bv My ma Harmer who played a violin solo and was accompan-1 id by Mary Ann Schriever-' and a male quartette consisting of Lyle Clements, Welby Warren, War-ren, Ralph Harmer and Wayne Holley sang a number; talks were given by Mr. and Mrs Harmer, parents of the missionary mis-sionary and by Bishop Whiting. Whit-ing. The prayers were given by Elder Jones and Mark Hoover missionary friends of Bliss. Mrs. Jimmy Marziale of-Mont of-Mont Clair, New Jersey is spending two weeks visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen and with other relatives. A picnic dinner was given in her honor Sunday at Cherry Park by the members of her family. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Larsen and family of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Larsen and their families of Orera, Mr. and Mrs. Reese Brinker-hoff Brinker-hoff of Granger and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen of Mapieton. Mrs. Marziale is the former Norma Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Monty Larsen of St. George are guests at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer El-mer Larson of Mapieton. The Snazzy Stitchers held their last meeting at the home of Catherine Ann Jensen where Sharon Wiscombe' gave a de monstration on walking erect. The girls sewed on skirts which they are making and enjoyed refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Allan and family of Mesquite, Nevada who are making their home in Provo this summer while Blaine is attending summer school, were Sunday visitors in Mapieton. They were here especially to attend the home coming services held for Bliss Harmer Sunday evening. Other relatives here for the program were Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Harmer and family of Roy, Utah. Mrs. Robert Bird and child-ien child-ien are spending several days visiting with relatives and friends in Mapieton. She has been a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Whiting. They are making their home in Van Nuys, Calif. Young Nancy and Patty Murdock spent the weekend with their cousin Christine Binks while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Murdock were vacationing va-cationing in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Nebel of Du Bois, Idaho and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Selk of Salmon, Idaho were in Mapieton last week to attend the funeral services of Fay Johnson. They were guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson. Two of their sons and their families, Claude, who lives in-Kearns and Rulon from San Diego, Calif., were also here. |
