Organization of Basketball League Planned Here for Boys 11 to 13 Sponsored by the National Guard and Springville business men, a new basketball league lea-gue for boys 11, 12, and 13 years old will be organized under the direction of LeGrande Young, Bob Bring-hurst Bring-hurst and Dean Tipton. Any boy who is 13 years old as of Dec. 1 will be eligible to play in the newly created league. Plans are formulated for six teams with 12 players to a team. At least three 11-year-olds and three 12-year-olds will be on one team, the remaining six players can be a composite of all three ages. Tryout sessions will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 and Nov. 29 at .the National Guard Armory as follows: 9 a.m., 11 year olds; 11 a.m., 12 year olds: 1 p.m., 13 year olds. Coaches will bid for players following tryouts. League play will begin Dec. 6. Teams will be uniformed and adult officials offi-cials and coaches will handle the boys. The program is similar to the baseball set-up and there will be a state tournament at the conclusion of the season.
