Show Local Church Will Observe Day of Prayer Commemorating the 1958 World Day of Prayer, the Springville Community Church will hold a special service Friday, February 21 at 2 p.m. Prayer Day is observed internationally in-ternationally on the first Fridayin Fri-dayin Lent when millions of women around the world join in a twenty-four hour prayer vigil. At no time in the twenty-four hour passage of the sun around the earth will the chain of prayer be broken. When dawn breaks in the Tongas, west of the International Interna-tional Date Line, the first invocations in-vocations will rise, led by Queen Salote, the island's monarch. mon-arch. As the sun wheels it's course, the cadences will carry across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. By nightfall, night-fall, they will conclude at St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea. Women of the various pro-testant pro-testant faiths in this area will be invited to participate in the 45-minute prayer service to be conducted locally.
